PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Safe-D Team has designed an attachment kit that transforms recreational drones into life-saving drones
Attachments are secured with Velcro, so that the tools can connect with the average sized drones
Attachments are activated through a Bluetooth connection
The kit includes a dropping mechanism, Arduino components, modular housing, Bluetooth capability, drone guide, and safety supplies useful in disaster situation
Future attachments would include an extra camera, GPS, two way radio signal extender, and a speaker

Safe-D Team believes community members can be of greater help to another when obstacles prevent us from accessing each other in disastrous circumstances.
We have proposed the use of recreational drones for purposes other than aerial photography, video or simple recreational flight.
We have designed a dropping mechanism utilizing Arduino circuitry and custom programming to operate via Bluetooth signal so as to open and release a payload on demand in short range. The dropping mechanism operates with its own power supply, completely independent of the recreational drone.
We have also designed detachable housing which contains all the dropping mechanism components. This housing attaches to any recreational drone with industrial strength hook and loop tape allowing the drone to provide a means of transportation to the site of someone in distress.
Our concept is brought to life in the retail market with a self contained kit composed of the dropping mechanism and its components pre-assembled in the detachable housing, a drone piloting guide, a water-proof delivery bag, and vital safety supplies.
A recreational drone user with an interest in community service would be able to purchase our kit, attach the housing to their drone and provide assistance in a new and innovative way.

The analytics company, main focus is not the drones, but instead using the drones to analyze big pieces of land for companies and regular people.
The Safe-D Team is different because rather than marketing a drone, the team is selling an attachable dropping mechanism, along with an app that pairs with the dropper, there will also be a first-aid kit and a drone-user guide.
